Gem Air is looking for an experienced A&P mechanic to join our maintenance team. Our ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is well-organized, works well independently and with a team, and has experience for our supported manufactures: Cessna, Piper, Lycoming, Pratt and Whitney and Continental. Gem Air operations include both summer backcountry flying, as well as contracted cargo routes. The requirements for these positions are different, so please note which one you are qualified for and which you are applying for when sending your cover letter and resume.
Requirements for summer backcountry Pilots:
Required:Commercial license, SEL, MEL, 500+ hours total time, 25 hours of night.
Preferred: Part 135 experience, 800+hrs total time, backcountry flying experience, high performance experience.
**Note: Summer pilot positions for 2017 have been filled. We are accepting applicants for Summer 2018.
Requirements for year-round cargo positions:
Required: Meet Part 135 IFR requirements, 1500hrs total time, 100hrs night, Commercial, SEL, MEL.
Preferred: Part 135 experience, C208/turbine experience, MEL experience, current IFR proficiency check, 2000+ hours total time.
